This blog was created to promote reading and literacy among teens and adults.
It is hard to choose which series is my favorite but my top 10 favorites include; the Pendragon series, The Inheritance Cycle, The Demonata series, the Cirque Du Freak Series, The Mortal Instruments series, The Vampire Academy series, the Looking Glass Wars series, The Dark Hunter and Dream Hunter series, and the Artemis Fowl Series.
I have several favorite books, but if I had to pick one, it would be The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. It was the first book I read as a child, and I still remember the lessons it taught me about friendship, love, and compassion.
My favorite books include everything from Micheal Chriton, City of ember series, Neon Genisis Evangelion manga, imperial earth, rifles for wadee?, hunger games, evil genius, and any books that were made into movies.Signed; White shark
Favorite? Arrrgh! I can't believe you're asking such a tough question of readers. It's like asking me to identify my favorite vital organ... pet... child... family member... It's impossible! However, To Kill a Mockingbird has to be the one book that has spoken to me most often. I always seem to come away from the book with some new truth or understanding. As for series... Hm. You'll hate this, but if I'm going to go all girlie, I'd do it with the Principles of Love series by Emily Franklin. They're witty and clever. They've got a great dose of girlie balanced out nicely with reality. I don't do much scifi, but I enjoyed the Inheritance series as well... Non-fiction? Hm... Oh! I love Erik Larson. Devil in the White City is fabulous! See? This task is wayyy too hard!
The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy is my favorite book of all time. This tale of a dysfunctional southern family will make anyone feel better about their own family. Conroy's prose is simply beautiful and heartbreaking. He writes poetically about the pain of abuse and the redeeming power of love.
